The Manufacturing Engineering position is located at our modern new plant in New Castle Delaware. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic cross functional engineering team in a world class organization supporting the manufacture, development and continuous improvement of the premier brand of Rheological Instrumentation.



+ The manufacturing engineering activities may involve:



+ Theoretical and experimental investigation


+ Technical direction and coordination


+ Conception and planning of resources to support hardware requirements


+ The analysis, evaluation, and solution of technical problems encountered in the application of manufacturing methods, facilities, processes, materials and tooling incident to the fabrication and assembly of high technology instruments



+ Responsible for maintaining the design of released products with the goal of continuously improving quality, customer satisfaction, efficiency of production and cost effectiveness


+ Follows established policies and procedures, performs professional manufacturing engineering assignments requiring full use and application of standard manufacturing principles, theories, concepts and techniques.


+ Analyzes engineering drawings and support documentation for application to project requirements and producibility


+ Provides imaginative, thorough, and practical solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving conventional utilization of manufacturing engineering techniques


+ Participates in development process to insure manufacturability, quality, and cost effectiveness of new products. Evaluates and selects appropriate manufacturing processes and suppliers. Leads effort to establish in-house assembly & test procedures


+ Investigates problems which arise in-house and at suppliers during the fabrication, assembly, and test of instruments and develops, evaluates, and implements solutions. Analyzes problem data (PTL & RN) for trends and problem frequencies for prioritization of longer term solutions





+ Must be a U.S. Citizen


+ Four year degree and a minimum of 1-3 years experience in Electrical engineering or closely related field. Prior experience with Analytical Instrumentation is a plus.


+ Should have comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated application of engineering principles, theories, concepts, and procedures used for the development of analytical instrumentation


+ Ability to work with others as an effective team member
